Home Organization So Good It Makes You Cry

"Do you think you can continue on with this or do you just want to pull the plug now?" Amanda LeBlanc asks her latest organization project client, Matt.
Matt has become overwhelmed as he watches vast piles of raw materials headed for the dumpster or a charitable resale shop. As a client, his plight is familiar: attached to what he has, but unable to account for why he needs it. Some of these materials Matt uses, though less than frequently, in his costume and design business,
Amanda retained Matt as a client during last week's episode, when LeBlanc held a reception for new prospects showcasing her own Atlanta home, itself a perfect portrait of clever and stylish organizational planning.
(That fact is all the more compelling when you realize LeBlanc has two young children - and a "new" character that made his first appearance - in the show, not in real life - this week: husband Dan.)
Matt, meanwhile, breaks down, but after some tender counsel from Amanda - she reveals a more personal side this week, acknowledging the struggle between professional and Mom - Matt decides to continue.
The project is immensely successful, and home organzation professionals will totally get the thrill of the client's joy at the "reveal" of the finished project. Amanda sums it up well: "We're making more room for his business to grow."
And hers, and perhaps yours.
Don't miss your chance to meet Amanda LeBlanc in person, at Closets Conference and Expo 2012 in Austin, TX, Feb. 15-17 at the Convention Center.
